I began designing in 2004 after I took a basic jewelry making class. When I began to wear my first designs, people asked where they could buy them. Encouraged by admiration (and especially by their purchases!), I devoted more time to study and design.
In March, 2005 I debuted my collection in San Antonio, Texas. Customer reaction was far beyond my expectations and by the end of the month, local retailers were carrying my jewelry.
My designs have been purchased by boutiques and galleries in San Antonio and Port Isabel, Texas; Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Telluride, Colorado. My jewelry is showcased at the annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraiser in San Antonio, Texas. I hold trunk shows throughout the U.S and sell to personal clients around the world. Before I began designing jewelry I worked for 30 years in corporate America. During that time I often felt an elusive internal battle. After retiring in 2000, it became clear that the more successful I was in the corporate sense, the more I suppressed my creativity. That 30-year internal conflict was the artist in me struggling to be heard.
